Two novel bacterial strains were isolatedfrom the roots of tomato plants (Solanum lycoper-sicumL.) from Dengfeng, Henan Province, China.Phylogenetic analysis of 16S rRNA gene sequencesshowed that the isolates NEAU-DE8(1)Tand NEAU-HE1(2) are closely related to one another (99.6%similarity) and are closely relate toNonomuraea zeaeNEAU-ND5T(98.3, 98.3%) andNonomuraea geren-zanensisDSM 100948T(98.3, 98.0%).
